Hello Everyone! Thank you so much for reading this! I cannot wait to tell you all about his early life. OK, I won't take away any more time from you to here we go! Here's my main question, Where was he born and what was his life like?
Alexander the Great was born on July 25, 356 B.C. Raised in Pella Macedonia, this young little lad had an easy life compared to peasants, for he was a prince! Born from Queen Olympia and King Philip II, he had a life of royalty. His father was always on military business, so Alexander grew to despise him because he was never there. (I mean, if MY dad was never with my family I would get annoyed and dislike him too). So now you are probably asking, if his father wasn't there to raise him, then who did? And I have the answer for you, his mother raised him. She was a great idol for the young Alexander. She was the one who taught him to be strong. But even though he didn't like his father, he did miss him when he left. But Alexander had other things to worry about, like education. His first tutor was Leonidas. He taught Alexander math and how to fight (Horsemanship and Archery) -I got this from Biography.com. But Leonidas quit after a while because he could not control the rambunctious child. His next tutor was Lysimachus. To control the tottering young boy, he used role playing to teach Alexander. But then he quit, so then a new and more famous person taught him. Alexander then went to the Temple of Nymphs, and was taught by Aristotle. Aristotle is most famous for teaching the Alexander the Great, and was probably one of the most richest philosopher of his time. After 3 years of learning philosophy, poetry, art, and math, he then finished his education and went off into the world. By then, it was 340 B.C. When he was only a teenager, he became a soldier. Ok, a teenager?! That's crazy, well actually not because we have teenagers who are in the military. So never mind. Any way he got to become closer to his daddy and fought alongside him in battle. But after the battle between the Athenians and Turbans, the father son relationship was OVER!
